Religious school is back in session.  Religious school normally operates according to Prince Georges County school weather closing schedule.

Goals  

Our Relgious School goals are:

  • To prepare our students to live responsible Jewish lives in American society, comfortable as Jews both at home and in the Temple.

  • To involve our students in a contemporar Jewish experience which is relevant to them today.

  • To involve the family actively in his/her child's Jewish education while providing opportunities for the parent/guardian to further his/her own Jewish studies.

 

About Temple Solel's Religious School  

A dedicated staff provides an outstanding program for children ages two and one-half through high school.

  • TORAH FOR TOTS – For children ages two and one-half through four.  Meets on alternate Sundays from 9:00 to 10:30 AM  (Membership not required.)
  • YOUNGER GRADES – For children in kindergarten through third grade.  Meets every Sunday from 9:00 AM to noon.
  • MIDDLE GRADES – For children in fourth  through seventh grade.  Meets every Sunday from 9:00 AM to noon and every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
  • UPPER GRADES – For children in the eighth, ninth and tenth grade.  Meets every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
  • HIGH SCHOOL – A program which allows tenth, eleventh and twelth grades to work in the school as teacher aids, tutors, and librarians.

In addition to our regular staff, we provide a music specialist and two art specialists, the latter holds sessions in our art studio.

Throughout the year, the school provides special programs to highlight curriculum areas.  Listed below is a sampling of such programs:
